Payments
Payment details, UPI QR codes, and invoice status
Payment instructions tell the customer how to settle an invoice. An invoice should become paid only after a payment system confirms the transaction or the business owner confirms an offline payment.

Add payment information
- Name the accepted payment method
- Provide the account, UPI ID, or checkout instructions the customer should use
- Include the invoice number as a payment reference when useful
- State how the customer can send proof of an offline payment
Use a UPI QR code
A UPI QR code can make payment convenient on a phone. Confirm that the displayed payee and amount are correct before sharing. A QR code is an instruction for payment, not proof that payment has succeeded.
Paid versus unpaid
Unpaid means the invoice is still awaiting confirmed settlement. Paid means the amount has been confirmed or manually reconciled. A status should change automatically only when the payment provider confirms it, or manually when the business owner confirms an offline payment.
Payment confirmation
Keep the payment reference, date, amount, and confirmation source with your business records. If the status does not update, verify the payment in the provider or bank account before changing the invoice manually.
